Happy Monday, readers! Can you believe we're already more than halfway through November?! This week's Mac Weekly Highlight has something for everyone; a television show with super-sized sweet treats, a movie with a romance for the ages, and a coloring book about a fashion icon that's a great lockdown activity and/or Christmas gift. So without further ado, let's get to it!
Television
Candy Land
Did you ever play the Candy Land board game as a kid and wonder what it would be like to immerse yourself inside that scrumptious, sugary world? Well thanks to the Food Network you don't have to wonder any longer! Their brand new reality baking competition show Candy Land has brought the board game to life with a super-sized, almost entirely edible set (think of the first factory room in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). Teams of cake and sugar artists compete by making show-stopping dessert displays that represent the lands from the game: Chocolate Mountain, Lemon Lime Springs, Peppermint Forest, etc. Alongside judges Aarti Sequeira and Nacho Aguirre, host and Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth ups the sweetness factor and adds the glitter to the already sparkly set. You can watch Candy Land on the Food Network on Sunday evenings at 9pm.

A Timeless Christmas
In case you haven't noticed it yet by reading my articles, I'm a sucker for Hallmark Channel holiday movies. A Timeless Christmas premiered on Hallmark last weekend, but I didn't have a chance to watch it until this week and it was definitely one to remember! There's something truly special about experiencing Christmas through a different time period and I'm so happy that Hallmark tries to capture that in some of their movies every year. A Timeless Christmas is based on a book of the same name and follows Megan (played by Erin Cahill), a tour guide and director at the historic Whitley Estate, who is in for quite the shock when the real Charles Whitley (who mysteriously disappeared in 1903) shows up in the middle of a tour during the busy Christmas season. Will Charles return to his time or will he stay in the future with Megan? Only time will tell...

IRIS The Coloring Book
It saddens me to say that this amazing coloring book was released in the summer and I just heard about it now! Better late than never though, and at least I'm telling you about it in time for you to order one for the holidays 😉. Iris Apfel is a 99-year-old fashion icon, designer, and businesswoman who is known for her standout design choices and long, entrepreneurial career. Iris is also a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, which is where the coloring book comes in; her UT in NYC Conference has been taking place for 10 years now and the proceeds from this coloring book are serving as a fundraiser for the students to attend the Conference, offsetting the expenses for their week in the city. People magazine described it as, "a coloring book featuring Iris Apfel's most iconic quotes, illustrations of her travels, and depictions of her wardrobe and quirky apartment decor." If you would like more information about the book and/or would like to order it from the University Co-op website, see here: https://www.universitycoop.com/iris.
