Happy Monday, readers! I hope today's post finds you well and that you made it through another crazy 2020 weekend. Luckily there's a lot of Music, Arts & Culture to absorb right now to keep us going. Let's get to my favorites from the past week!
Conan Gray, Heather Official Music Video
Heather by Conan Gray is a song that I have absolutely adored since its release in March as a single from Gray's album Kid Krow. I listen to music of many genres, but am particularly a fan of Indie pop. This song gives us melancholy, fall vibes and is a story of unrequited love and the desire to change aspects of yourself to become more like the person your crush loves. The Heather music video was co-directed by Gray himself and Dillon Matthew; it was shared this past week. Visual storytelling, sensuality, and raw emotion are at the heart of this music video.
Fall Menu Release at Dunkin'
It's a running joke that New Englanders will stop at nothing to get their Dunkin' (formerly Dunkin' Donuts), even when it's 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside or the middle of a blizzard. While I've never trekked to my local Dunkin' in the middle of a blizzard, I have admittedly gotten many iced coffees when there's been two feet of snow on the ground. With this dedication in mind, most fans of the Quincy, MA-originated chain were very excited when it was announced that the fall menu would be coming out earlier than usual. The items include: Signature Pumpkin Spice Latte, Chai Latte, Pumpkin Flavored Coffees, Apple Cider Donut & Munchkins, Pumpkin Donut, Munchkins & Muffin, and Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich. Dunkin' has over 9,000 locations in the United States and over 3,000 stores internationally.

Finish the Fight
For those who weren't aware or aren't readers from the U.S., this year marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment passing which gave women in the United States the right to vote; but not all women. The fight continued long after for many, because Black, Latinx, indigenous, and immigrant women were still barred from voting by voter suppression tactics and citizenship laws. Finish the Fight is a play that tells these stories, adapted from the novel Finish the Fight!: The Brave and Revolutionary Women Who Fought for the Right to Vote by Veronica Chambers. Changed from a staged play to a virtual one due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The New York Times premiered a live viewing of the play via YouTube and a post-performance discussion with the writer (Ming Peiffer), director (Whitney White), author/NYT Narrative Projects Editor (Veronica Chambers), and NYT Arts and Leisure Editor (Meeta Agrawal). The video of the performance and discussion is available to watch on YouTube.
"Car Journeys with Gemma"
British public figure and body positivity activist Megan Jayne Crabbe is known for providing her social media followers with positive, inclusive content. Last month she introduced a series on her Instagram Stories/IGTV called "Car Journeys with Gemma". The light-hearted adventures feature Megan and her sister Gemma as they drive around the streets of England asking each other questions about celebrity crushes, joking about life's funny moments, playing games, snacking on delicious chocolatey treats, and providing us with heartwarming sisterly content. Megan is on Instagram as @bodyposipanda.
