Happy Monday and welcome back to Mac Claire! It really felt like fall in New England this past week as the foliage perked up, revealing hues of red, orange, and yellow everywhere. This past week also provided a lot of fantastic Music, Arts, and Culture that I'm excited to highlight today: Enola Holmes on Netflix, the season four premiere of The Great Women Artists Podcast with Katy Hessel, @FacesOfCOVID on Twitter, and Jennifer Hudson's performance of Stevie Wonder's song "Evil" on the Time100 TV Special. I'm here to introduce you to each and tell you a little more about them, so let's dive right in!
Movies
Enola Holmes
Brought to us by Netflix, Enola Holmes follows the story of detective Sherlock Holmes' younger sister as she embarks on a mystery-solving journey of her own. Set in 1880s England, the film is based on the first book of The Enola Holmes Mysteries series by Nancy Springer and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill, and Sam Claflin. Enola Holmes has a little something for everyone: adventure, intrigue, danger, comedy, and heartfelt coming-of-age moments.

The Great Women Artists Podcast with Katy Hessel
I've been listening to this fantastic podcast since it began a year ago and couldn't wait for the season four premiere episode to be released this past week! The Great Women Artists Podcast is hosted by renowned Curator and Art Historian, Katy Hessel and brings well-deserved attention to some of the most legendary women artists in history. In this returning episode, Katy interviews Tracey Bashkoff (the Director of Collections and Curator at the Guggenheim Museum) on the fascinating and ground-breaking artist Hilma af Klint. The Great Women Artists Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes, and most other podcast platforms!

@FacesOfCOVID
The COVID-19 Pandemic has touched every corner of the world and its impact will be felt long beyond this decade. As the death toll in the United States rises daily, it's important to remember that those numbers represent everyday people who led amazing lives and impacted those around them. @FacesOfCOVID has been aiming to do exactly that through their platform on Twitter. Through a combination of news coverage and obituaries, @FacesOfCOVID has been sharing the individual stories of those who have passed so that they will be remembered as more than just a statistic. While it may be difficult and emotional to read these stories, it's a kind, simple way to honor those who we've lost.

"Evil" by Stevie Wonder, Performed by Jennifer Hudson on the Time100 TV Special
The Time100 TV Special aired this past week on ABC Network, featuring 100 of 2020's most influential Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Titans, and Icons. Three of those in the Artists category gave performances during the special: The Weeknd, Halsey, and Jennifer Hudson. Hudson performed a cover of Stevie Wonder's song "Evil", and it was unforgettable; she displayed her unparalleled vocal strength and talent while connecting to the raw emotion of the song, the lyrics of which are so relevant in our troubled times. A clip of the performance can be found on the Time Twitter page and you can find the entire special on Hulu or on demand. While there is no recorded track of the Jennifer Hudson cover, I have added Stevie Wonder's original version of "Evil" to the Mac Weekly Highlights Playlist by Mac Claire on Spotify.
